When Lindsey contacted me about photographing her wedding, the first thing she said was that she would choose her wedding date based on my availability! When I read her words in the email she sent, I was floored! How cool is it that someone likes your work enough to choose their wedding date based on if you were free to photograph it! My heart burst with joy and appreciation! Another thing Lindsey said that really made me happy was that film photography was super important to her! When I started incorporating film into my wedding photography, I wasn’t sure if people would even care that I shot film or not, so when Lindsey said she loved it, I was on cloud 9!
I knew right away after meeting Lindsey and Robert that their wedding was going to be a blast! We had so much fun at their engagement session, so I knew their wedding would be amazing! They decided to have the wedding on Robert’s family property, which is GORGEOUS!! Their wedding set-up was a DREAM! I’m a HUGE fan when couples make their ceremony special, and using mismatched wooden chairs did just that! Their reception was tented and they used succulents everywhere to decorate, which is a dream in itself, because I LOVE succulents! It began raining right before the ceremony started, so we had to move the ceremony under the tent, but it was still absolutely perfect!
One of my favorite parts of the day was when Robert opened up his gift from Lindsey! Part of the gift was a charm that held a photo of Robert’s grandmother. When he saw it, tears streamed down his face, and they streamed down mine too! That was such a special gift to him, and the emotion he showed was everything! He wore the charm with his boutineere too!
All of the details were so pretty and the house that Lindsey and her girls got ready in was beyond incredible! The dress Lindsey wore was a Essence of Australia dress from Fabulous Bridal and it was stunning! I am slightly obsessed with her dress! Photovision Prints knocked it out of the park, as always, with the film scans! I am SO happy I was apart of this wedding and I made new friends in the process 🙂
