I’m not sure where to be begin with this sweet couple! First off, they are fellow photographers, so when they wanted to book me for their wedding, I was completely honored! I will be honest, it is a bit intimidating to photograph other photographers. I never want to let any of my couples down, especially photographer couples! When I met Dawn and Matthew in person for their engagement session, we had SO much fun! We did their engagement session at Fernbank, as well as at a local park. Meeting them in person made me even more excited for their wedding!

This wedding was so unique! The bride & groom had a certain vision in mind for their wedding, and their vision came to life perfectly! The Fernbank Museum is where Matthew & Dawn had their first date, and they wanted to come back to where it all started for their wedding. The museum itself is amazing, with a huge dinosaur sculpture located in the Atrium of the museum. They decided to add to the natural essence of the museum and incorporate dinosaurs into their wedding theme! Not only that, Dawn herself made several of the geometric shapes that were used for center pieces and for the ceremony decorations herself!

One of the highlight features of the wedding decor was the amazing cake that looks like there was geode rock in the cake! It is seriously SO amazing! Dawn’s bouquet was one of prettiest floral arrangements I have photographed thanks to the amazing Flower Buds based in Atlanta, Georgia! Dawn and Matthew’s first look was SO special! They cried, I cried, my husband cried….it was perfect!

Their wedding was full of Jewish traditions, which made the wedding super fun and very personal to the couple! Every little aspect and tradition was perfect! Their ceremony was one of the sweetest ones I’ve attended and their reception was SO fun! I mean, when a dinosaur appears for open dancing, you know its going to be a party!

This wedding definitely promotes taking your wedding vision and running with it. Do not be afraid to step out of the box for your wedding and use decorations and colors that stand out and represent who you are!  Dawn and Matthew, THANK YOU for welcoming me into your lives and choosing me to photograph your love! I love you both! xoxo
