Stephanie & Jordan

Stephanie & Jordan’s wedding day at Farmington Historic Plantation in Louisville, Kentucky was nothing short of perfect! The weather was amazing, with the perfect light and we even had the most amazing sunset. I feel so honored that I got to meet Stephanie and Jordan and that I had the chance to photograph their wedding. These two are the kindest people and not to mention, they are naturals in front of the camera!

Stephanie looked gorgeous in her Hayley Paige wedding dress from Couture Closet Boutique! She had a elegant updo by Strands Louisville & her makeup was perfectly done by Rachel Edwards. Jordan sported a navy blue suite that he looked handsome in!

Farmington Historic Plantation

Farmington Historic Plantation in Louisville, Kentucky was complete in 1816 and was a thriving farm for many years. It is said that in 1841, Abraham Lincoln visited the plantation! Now, the plantation serves as a non-profit where people can come learn about the history of the plantation. It also serves as the most gorgeous wedding venue. Sitting on 18 acres of land, the plantation offers a little slice of southern charm in the middle of a busy downtown area. There is a spacious room inside the plantation home for the wedding party to get ready. There are several areas that provide stunning backdrops for wedding ceremonies and a pavilion that is a great for a reception space that is semi-covered! The first time I saw this venue, my heart skipped a beat. From the tree lined driveway, to the charming southern home, I love everything about this venue!

The First Look

Stephanie & Jordan decided to do a first look. Behind the house, there is a little area that is hidden to everyone else. Jordan waited patiently as Stephanie slowly walked behind him and tapped him on the shoulder. When Jordan turned around and saw Stephanie, both of their reactions were so sweet and they couldn’t stop smiling! It was the sweetest moment! I love first looks because it allows you to have a moment alone with your soon-to-be husband or wife and it helps to get rid of potential nerves leading up to the ceremony.

The Ceremony

Stephanie and Jordan’s ceremony took place behind the Farmington Historic Plantation house. The ceremony face the plantations lush garden. It was a beautiful set up with florals by Lovely Leaves decorating the arch that stood at the front of the ceremony space. After a very sweet ceremony, Stephanie and Jordan kissed, then walked back down the aisle as flower petals were thrown in celebration! That part was one of my favorites of the ceremony because it reminds me of my own wedding when me and my husband walked down the aisle after becoming husband and wife!

The Reception

The reception took place under the pavilion. The tables were decorated with soft florals and greenery by Lovely Leaves. The cake by Adrienne and Co Bakery tasted as wonderful as it looked. Everyone enjoyed a delicious meal by Kingsley Catering and danced the night away thanks to Complete Weddings! After toasts that left everyone in tears from laughter, we got to witness the sweetest of first dance and parent dances. This was followed by eating cake that tasted amazing and a night of dancing! Stephanie and Jordan ended the night with a sparkler exit in front of the plantation home! It was a perfect day!

So many vendors worked together to help make this wedding at Farmington Historic Plantation in Louisville, Kentucky amazing! The day ran so smoothly and this was because of the coordinating and planning by Shelby White of White Cat Weddings! I recommend every vendor who was apart of this day!
